Just for perspective, another heady film with a big cast, big special effects, and substantial studio backing didn't exactly light it up this weekend. It's hard to make money off movies that are intended to make people think.

I think often of Doctor Who which has a loyal following even though the special effects are not good at all, the heady content is what people love. Atlas Shrugged has the burden of being a heady story that runs counter to the convential altruistic thinking. So it has to overcome that problem.
