I suspect the difference would be explained by the now common use of the wintip winglets that maintain a higher pressure differential by keeping high pressure air from spilling over to the low pressure side at the tip. Because it boosts efficiency, they have been rapidly adopted by the airlines, and are even showing up on small personal planes. Since the vapor formation is a result of pressure differentials, I'd predict a high degree of correlation between these things.

I appreciate the link, Suzanne, but it doesn't actually disprove the theory scientifically. They admit the trails are so much more obvious today than 20 years ago but only speculate on why without any underlying data. Getting opinions of scientists without actually funding scientific experiments to prove the opinions is not helpful.
Personally, I have noticed them and have no idea why they are much more obvious, but I do not have the funds to do experiments.

The issue is that contrails disappear very quickly. The so-called chem trails do not disappear. They create a pattern in the sky for hours. I do not know why.
For example, your truck's "contrail" disappears instantly and all the aircraft contrails 20 years ago were gone in minutes.

Who are these people? I'm shaking my head here in disbelief over such nonsense. H2O is a bi-product of burning jet fuel and will always leave a contrail in a cold atmosphere. Heck, in the frozen north where I live my '04 Ram pickup leaves a "contrail" on really really cold days. One heckuva cloud in the driveway while warming up, too.

With an oral tradition much like the old game of telephone the original information is twisted or altered over the generations.
With Shaman as the tradition depositories, mystical or impossible to explain stories are just simply good for business.

Funny thing about spontaneous insights by pagan bicameral man, even if you know the language and the meme of those times it is often confounded. Many of these insights, though useful and profound are often tainted by mysticism's. Mysticism's need not be mystical religion or even about gods or creation...they could simply be, "I can't do it", I'm not worthy, don't step on the cracks...etc.

It is a long stretch but the sky description is similar to many described today.

Just tried to vet this out, find out more...seems some folks might be jumping at straws but still the saying is interesting and if at all prophetic would probably speak to a coming natural event...just like the sky scenes described in the Bible, ie, aurora's (angles and bulls), disturbed cloud formations and a gama ray event, (the trumpet sounds) etc.
Didn't read about this one in Forgotten Civilization, (the role of solar outbursts in our past and future) by Robert M. Schoch.
Most of these prophecies were based on recurring natural events and grand cycles.

Interesting to note: A year ago and a few before that, we would see countless "contrails" turn into full blown cloud cover, there were days I would swear that the Star Trek Nexus, wave after wave, was approaching; but this past year has been completely devoid of such sights...except for a few "Noctalucent" clouds from time to time...it's been pretty normal. Go Figure.

Working in a building situated on long Island Sound and being able to view cloud cover all the way to the ocean side of Long Island, one really gets a sense of what is normal and what is not.

I also think that living on the Connecticut shoreline and connecticut being a major liberal enclave...the creatures that want to screw with mother nature and possible kill us all off...will not be sh#ting and Pis#ing where they sleep...
