BE AWARE: Potential IRS SCAM

I received a call today from people claiming to be from the IRS Enforcement Division. I was immediately suspicious because the Caller ID did not show IRS (it always does based on my previus contacts wth them) and the fact that they were saying the local police were about to serve a federal warrant on me. They assists sometimes, but never act instead of the IRS/Feds)
If you get a call and the number shows as 202-470-2578.
When I reverse phonebooked this number, it came back as IRS SCAM number. Do not give them any information. I suggest not even answering the call.

- 1Posted by $ AJAshinoff 8 years agoI've gotten these calls every 6 months or so for a while now. I tell them to mail me whatever it is and I won't do anything over the phone.| Permalink
- 1Posted by Dobrien 8 years agoYes I have gotten that same threatening call afew times a year ago , and three times in the last week. I don't think the law is even trying to catch them, you would think they would be easy to catch.| Permalink
