He also threatened to arrest federal officials for "impersonating a law enforcement officers in Wyoming."

Ha! Good luck with that.

Wow.. I got a thumbs down for A) proposing a solution to a potential extinction-level disaster, B) promoting an alternative energy solution and C) proposing preventative measures for the next Katrina.

Some people don't want to seek solutions, they just want to b... complain.

Extremism led to the United States.

Was it excess or deficiency that led, ultimately, to the Terror?

I had to reread that before I realized you weren't invoking the name of an eco-terrorist organization.

Absolutely I want to drill in Yellowstone.
I want to drill boreholes and pump liquid nitrogen into them.

I want to develop plasma-coated piping systems, and with other boreholes, pump some of the magma beneath Yellowstone out and ship it to Louisiana to be used for landfill and dike construction projects, especially around New Orleans. A number of creative methods could be developed to transport it.

In the process we could set up thermal power stations, to provide power via the energy trapped beneath Yellowstone.

THEN, once we've relieved some of the pressure, we can probably retrieve the oil and coal in the area.

Yeah, a lot of people here seem to think environmentalism is always inherently bad no matter what. And while it can certainly bad if taken to an extreme, many regulars don't stop to consider that the opposite extreme can potentially be just as bad, if not worse. Moderation in all things.
