Donna Vanzant got a hug; Obama got a photo-op and Donna was no longer useful, but she is still an idiot.

Here's the thing about "Bush's fault." Alot of it is. Regulations and whole bills passed and signed under a Presidency have lasting consequences well beyond their term. It's one reason we know Obamacare is the last nail in the coffin.
There was huge expansion of government during his terms. The Patriot Act, Homeland Security, (my favorite) Sarbanes Oxley. WE feel the pain of these policies today even though he is no longer in office. I am not suggesting Obama hasn't made things worse, but Bush made huge inroads in the economy we are enjoying today.

you can't get your money out of the stake afterwards if you need to. Why does the stake have to be wood anyway? Why not titanium?

Perhaps I should brush up on my stake plunging skills. I've gotten rusty...it's been a while.

A vampire cannot enter a house without first being invited. When B.O. was declared the winner of the election my husband yelled, "the vampire has just been invited into the house..AGAIN!"

Yes, the government has for years, allowed and even encouraged people to build and live in dangerous areas. Of course this just breeds more people who believe the government will take care of any problem they have. We get snow storms, ice storms and week plus long power outages here all the time, but we are a donor state so we never receive any FEMA help or money. We take care of your own and don’t build our houses out of straw.
    Good to chat again itisntluck.

Affirm she isn't alone in her misery, but I'm having trouble finding simpathy for her and the others when they had pleanty of warning, it's very likely she voted for Obama, and there is no evidence she has taken any steps to help herself.

Note that her complaint comes from the fact that she has "gotten no help." Not "maybe I should not depend on other people, and start taking care of myself."

Safe to assume a lesson was not learned.

I feel sorry for her loss, but also for her naïveté…
When reality sets in will the MSM say this is Obama’s Katrina? That it was handled badly? Doubtful...
Itisntluck, she won’t be the only one!
