Is Industry For or Against the Paris Climate Agreement? Big Business with government protection against free market competition is FOR it. Small to Medium business (able to compete) is AGAINST it.

"Both Elon Musk (of Tesla) and Bob Iger (of Walt Disney) have resigned from an advisory role in the Trump administration in protest of the Paris pullout."
Good riddance to slimy scum that promulgate legislation that loots from everyone else using government power to enrich themselves. Put those jerks in jail for theft.

"So there is a real split here. Large companies are fine with the regulations, and many even advocate them. Smaller companies employing a few hundred people – which constituted 99 percent of the companies in the United States and account for half of private sector employment – are almost universally opposed."

"Big business, for more than 100 years, has been a main lobbying force for more intense government controls over trade, enterprise, labor, and property in general. The reason makes sense of vast amounts of American history: government controls can benefit incumbents in the competitive process and hobble upstarts and aggressive innovators. The large, established businesses can bear the new costs while their smaller competitors cannot."

If someone in a company is FOR the Paris Agreement they are either truly stupid, dupes, or complicit. Period. Same with anyone that believes in catastrophic global warming: stupid, dupes, or complicit.

Of course Elon is out. His car don't sell unless other taxpayers subsidize them.

I think Hillary/sanders supporters are quite intellectually consistent. They want power over my life and property

If the government were unable to restrain free trade there would be no Paris Climate Agreement, or it would be completely ineffectual. Industry would not try to influence government because there would be no influence (use of force to control others) to be had. I do not think Trump's withdrawal will be any more effective than his pretend hate for Obamacare and his promise to overthrow it. While he may postulate and pretend the results are expected to be the same.

Be careful what you wish for, term. When a herd pf people start irrationally calling others fascists, its likely they are looking in the mirror.
I agree they are not friends of liberty regardless of how genteel they appear. Many are not evil, but they are so brainwashed they can't recognize evil regardless of the evidence. Rational thought is a subject they failed.
They should wear a t-shirt with that motto: "I failed rational thought 101" or "Rational thought- who needs it."

It would be good if Trump knew his people better. He should never have hired anyone dumb enough to fall for the 3 card monte they call climate change.

Yes, they would have to be, to be in the positions they're in and with everything everybody now knows about all three.

Ain't that the truth? I was thinking of simply responding to the title by simply writing, "I would most certainly think so!'
Well, I guess I kinda just did.

This is the age of hidden agendas. If they loved Obama, Hillary, or Sanders, they are just plain evil.

If they are a hillary or sanders supporter, they are collectivists for sure and definitely not my friends. I have never seen a more accurate and consistent predictor of a person I should avoid. I wish they all would wear armbands so I can identify them without having to ask who they voted for.

I knew something was wrong with those reports of private enterprises being OK with that agreement. It was as lopsided and hypocritical as it was pointless.

The global climate change issue is a Rohrschach test for determining whether or not a CEO is a cronyist looter or not.
