Hey Old Fashion, okay I lied above, I said no comment from me on this post. Yes, let's have that parade, and in place of the missiles and heavy stuff bring out the transporters covered with giant tarps, we don't need to show the world out secrets, let them imagine. I'd give lot to see liberals heads explode.

Today we went to see Eastwood's movie "15:17 to Paris" and on the way in a store front I saw a huge poster of Putin with his eyes looking up and away like he does. I just had to have it but they wouldn't take $100 for it because they sell T-Shirts and this was their draw. The poster had a big round sticker in it in Red White and Blue that said "I Voted". Maybe I'll go back to town to get the T-Shirt and ask them to save the poster for me when they're done with it.

Problem solved...oregon can pay for the parade...

I thought it was an interesting article, although I don't think it was proper for him to send that obscene gerund over the Internet. My father, a (now-deceased) Naval veteran of World War II, also hated military parades.Someone else, who identified himself as a veteran, sent a letter to the editor of the Richmond paper about it, expressing much the same sentiments.--And after all, why not use the money to give the servicemembers what they need, such as better equipment and/or pay raises? I think I will cut that letter to the editor out of the paper and send it to the President.

I do not care for the nation of a military parade in the US because of the irrational association of military parades with communist and despotic nations. Even so, after 8 years of O shitting on the military whenever the opportunity provided and the bumbling laughingstocks the MSM has presented me and my brethren for the last 40 years (stripes?) I can understand why something like this may be called for.
While I'm uneasy about the implication,I know Marines and Army vets who I respect that think it's high time the nation sees the military in general as something more than people too stupid to make it in society (despite the reality for the majority of those who serve/served),

As for the angst expressed above...not everyone need serve in the military to make sacrifices, voluntary scarifies for this nation.

As known here, I'm no myopic supporter of President Trump, but I have to say thus far he's doing a hell of a job for the most part being an American leader and working for all of America. He has far exceeded any expectation I've had for him without being the Conservative I long for in office.

Time will tell if I'm wrong.

Trump's parade is to warm us up for his wars to come. Emotional manipulation of the highest order, because the group (mob) is stronger than the individual. Trump wants to program us with pageantry, the trappings and illusion of greatness. If it's not his idea, he has Machiavellian advisors.

I celebrate those things and others every day, but I don't think the zillions spent on that kind of parade yield any return on the investment.. Hell, they could use the money raise my SS by about .80 cents a month

Maybe you'd like to celebrate having a Constitution with a Bill of Rights? Or a tax bill that puts more money in your pocket? Or the defunding of NPR? (Frankly, I want Planned Parenthood de-funded. Having the right to an abortion should not mean that you have the right to send me the bill ... nobody buys my ammunition when I exercise my right to keep and bear arms.)

If we can afford a liver for an illegal immigrant in Oregon, we can afford a military parade for the rest of us.
