I have a solution, without building a wall and it would be much faster to set up. Bring home all the military drones and have them patrol the border. Establish a 1 mile wide DEAD ZONE and patrol it with the drones killing EVERYTHING that is found in there. Buy the land from those forced to loose their land via the new Dead Zone. Far cheaper and quicker to set up. Plus we can be certain that after a few invaders get killed they will stop trying to come in via that method.

Of course this would not prevent other means of illegally coming here but it would be as good as a wall and faster to set up.

Ancient China built an enormous wall to keep out the Mongols (who ruled China for centuries), apparently building a wall is not of much use. I don't understand why those who want to enter the country just don't apply for passports and get a US visa for a few hundred dollars, walk across the border at a nice place and you don't have to wander through the desert with some coyotes that charge thousands, you could use the money saved to look for a place to live while you look for a job.
