"Attacking a problem from multiple angles." The world makes sense because it is - and must be - integrated. Truths cannot contradict each other. Truth must support each other.

This is all true. I see it in successful people, esp the persistence. They accept not getting it working and frustrating setbacks as part of life. Sometimes I think an unhappy childhood can in some ways be helpful. They just keep working the problem. They're not surprised when things are painful. They know they might be wrong; their world isn't upended when they realize they were wrong about something fundamental.
