Rosanne's show was just cancelled after she tweeted that Valerie Jarrett is a cross between the Muslim Brotherhood and Planet of the Apes. Truth to liberal power, especially in the entertainment world, gets you fired.

ha ! for very long anyway. Unless you told offensive jokes about Jews. Here it ok to be a comedian if you tell offensive jokes about us "deplorables", but you dont dare to say anything about liberals.

I am done with these APOLOGIES. We should be able to say what we are thinking, and the snowflakes should get a little tougher skin. Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words.....

She supported Trump. That is the crime the libs pin on her. This was just convenient. As I understand it, we all descent from apes and monkees , so whats the big deal. Some of us stil look like our ancestors more than others. If the shoe fits, wear it.

She must have hit the nail on the head, which is why the libs are so upset. On a serious note, the libs have hated Roseanne since her show was a hit AND she supported Trump. THAT was her crime, not some tweet. Comics for a long time have said worse than that in their routines, and Roseanne does deal in comedy.

Adding to the story, Roseanne later wrote. "It was 2 in the morning and I was ambien tweeting–it was memorial day too–I went 2 far & do not want it defended-it was egregious Indefensible. I made a mistake I wish I hadn’t but…don’t defend it please."

The maker of Ambien responded in a tweet,
"While all pharmaceutical treatments have side effects, racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication."

Be very very careful when taking Ambien!

I felt that a pro Trump Sitcom wouldn't last. I knew it was doomed, but just didn't know how it would manifest. Good old erratic semi-psycho Rosanne set the trap and walked into it herself.

I think Rosanne's reference was to the bitter conflict between the species in the movie, but the left will always twist the meaning. By the standards of the PC crowd, Bill Maher should have lost his show a long time ago, but he's clever enough to make sure most of his insults are aimed at conservatives.

I wouldn't put too much stock in that promise. Like many other comics, her shtick has always been to be cleverly offensive.

I won't argue if what she said was ok or not. It has been decades since I watched the movie "Planet of the Apes". Damn if I don't see the resemblance! As for the Racist label can someone tell me what race Muslim and Ape are.

Maybe if Roseanne promises never to offend anyone ever again, she can go on living her normal life as a no holes barred comedian.

I think it was so beyond stupid for her to tweet such a nasty thing. This one tweet hurt a lot of people, not just her. Everyone was so excited to see the show come back, all of the cast members, production crews, us viewers, etc. I know there is liberal over-reaction, but really, how stupid. I am very disappointed.

There you go using, reason. The left wants us to believe that they know what people are thinking. That they are mind readers.
As you stated, “Free thinking not allowed.”

If people were to use reason, they may actually discover that Muslims are not a race just like Christians are not a race.

Me dino can a really big victim. Maybe I should wear a sign that states, "I AM OPPRESSED," and walk up to some cops out of the dead of the night.
Videos would look similar to this~

When I flee for my life, maybe I should have a "DUMP TRUMP" sign on my back.
That way, assorted lib groups will want to go to bat for me so I may mooch up some money.

Did anyne consider she might have eeen referring to the plot of the movie and the ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood? Jarrett is definitely not pro USA. In any case, is it not interesting how quickly the left turns rabid against their own when they express an independent viewpoint. Sheep all of them. Free thinking not allowed.

Is the ruckus all about the ape half of her or the Muslim half?

Leftist logic states that if you are seen as a victim you are exempt. The incentive is to pretend you are the biggest victim possible. The bigger the victim played the bigger the exemption.

It is a callback to the racists during the Jim Crow era. They compared the undereducated black to apes generally but more specifically to gorillas due to the dark skin pigment they have. So it has become taboo to compare any person of color, especially those with higher skin melanin content, to the nonhuman apes (because humans are still apes).

One of the problems is that Political Correctness has infected comedy recently. Before a comedian could say what they wanted with little fear of repercussions. This was because comedy was a method of pointing out the 'evils' in society. The comedian could say they were shining the light on the inequities of society and get people thinking and talking about them. However, now that PC has infected comedy, the comedian is the 'evil' in society if they don't toe the line of the hive mind of the leftists and decide to shine the light on their (leftists) 'evils'. So it is ok to attack the right because they are 'racist, sexist, homophobes, transphobes because deep down the leftist know they are even if the right leaning never exhibit any of these traits. But if a comedian were to point out that a leftist were a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, and/or a transphobe, but is part of the hive mind, it's the comedian's fault because the hive mind leftist just made a mistake because they cannot be any of those types of people. It just isn't possible in their mind.

There was a social critic that said that you can see the wellness of a society by looking at its comedy. If the comic can say anything the society is healthy. If not, it is sick. Just look at the totalitarian countries today and in the past. One of the first things they did was to make themselves off limits to criticism from its citizens and comedy is a form of criticism.

The hypocritical part of this is that Keith Olberman has made statements even worse - yet still has a show. It took repeated debunking of Dan Rather for his lies about Bush II before he was finally let go. Others have made similarly poorly-worded statements yet were protected by this very same media.

I totally think that people should be held accountable for what they say, but I also believe that those standards should be the same for everyone. Selective enforcement (in this case because of Roseanne's support for Trump) is the tool of the self-appointed elites and directly violates the principles that "all men are created equal" and "equal protection before the law".

Last night Hannitty ran a whole bunch of examples of famous lefties saying all kinds of trash and hypocritically going unpunished for it.

Roseanne did a foolish thing in underestimating the hypocrisy of the left.

Yet the established retarded left can say anything they want and not only get away with it, their given accolades!

Here is the funny thing...Rosanne is a leftest, that's right, she is a demoncrapic socialist shit disturber.
She likes what Trumpet is doing because she thinks he's the cause of all the chaos.

Why expect it to be logical? Obama got the Peace Prize for doing nothing. (That WAS racist.) Political activities, including PC, in America (and elsewhere) are not usually logical.
I have never liked anything about Roseape, so logically I am glad to see her go, but it has nothing to do with her recent statements.
    (Live long and prosper.)

Still don’t get how what she said is so racist? Where is the logic in this? If someone were to say, “Donald Trump is a cross between Christian Evangelists and Frosty the Snowman,” would that be racist? Would a comedian’s life be ruined because of it? Or would such a statement be praised and cheered by leftists everywhere?
