Agreed. What investigation would prevent the answering of the question of Comey lying to the Senate Judiciary Committee? There are only two possible answers:

1) An investigation into the Uranium One deal, in which Comey might be subpoened regarding his role under Mueller, or
2) The Clinton email investigation, which because it was never referred to the Justice Department for investigation and never went to a grand jury can legally be re-opened without claims for violation of double-jeopardy protections.

The second seems far more likely and there have been some hints that Sessions has been working on these behind-the scenes to unveil in one grand swoop just before the elections. For my part I'll believe it only when I see it.
