In case you haven't noticed, we're not dealing with the same Democratic Party of 5 or 10 years ago. They were once critical of capitalism's excesses, conservatives now have to deal with open socialistswho show disdain for everything American. They push four of the worst policies that their radical base promotes. They are 1. Get rid of I.C.E. 2. Repeal the tax cuts 3. Embrace Socialism 4. Open Calls for Violence. If ever we were looking down the maw of the dragon's throat, this is it..

Oh, I think that Trump will triumph in 2020. After that -- Who knows? If the Dems learn by their mistakes and they win, it's over. If they continue to lose, violence is the next step. Either way, it is the end of the American experiment.

Good old Winnie the Wise.He didn't know Americans any more than the politicians did. The strange thing about freedom is when someone experiences it, or even a portion of it it remains in the psyche as a shining symbol that can never be forgotten and anything that threatens it will be fought against to the nth degree. Which is why lefties burden citizens with so many laws and regulations so they never experience freedom.

Carl, anything that's anti capitalist is de-evolution. Mankind will revert back and as the rock group DEVO proclaims we will turn into potatoes. Not even the couch kind.

No it won't take that long. If in2024 the Dems get elected, there will be, in a week or two, a person knocking on your door telling you what new job you've been assigned to. You were a photographer? now you are a baker. But, but, but.....No matter how many buts, you better learn how to bake a wedding cake. This is what happened in NAZI Germany to a customer of mine. He got out asap. Not because he was an idealog but because it was too irrational for him to cope with.

First, but if they succeed the media will be the first thing Socialism will take over and make it an arm of the government. You know about Pravda? (Truth, HaH!)

    1. Some are, some aren't. If, however, the trend continues for another 10 years or so, there'll be no doubt of nearly 100% participation and the war for not only America, but the souls of men starts.
2.Zero. They base their actions upon emotion rather than logic.
    3. Some will but most will continue to dither until the threat is at their doorstep.

America fought the revolutionary war because capitalism was preferred over socialism of the king of England. I remember taking a civics class in high school in 1965. America became the economic power that it is due to the capitalistic explosion of the early 1900's.
Are you saying we can only appreciate capitalism by descending into socialism. I fear that only a deep descent that we cannot recover from would be required to wake up the entire country. It is kind of like cutting off your arm to appreciate having had it to begin with.

I doubt if one person in a hundred ever heard of George Soros. Yet, there would not be a far left if it weren't for his funding. He is a formidable enemy with untold cash that he's willing to spend it to turn the USA into the model of European nations that he helped foster.

The media has plenty of blame in the current movement to Socialism. They are as ignorant as their readers, perhaps more so. They can likely name the politicians and the issues involved in discussions while their readers cannot but that makes them better informed, not smarter.

I think this will either cause the demise of the democratic party, OR cause the demise of the entire country if it takes over.

Sanders would have been the democratic nominee if Hildebeast had not pulled the dirty power plays to get him kicked out. This time around, we have a good chance for the democratic nominee to be an avowed socialist.

Whether democrats will win in 2018 (likely take the senate IMHO(, or win presidency in 2020 (probably unlikely, but certainly possible) is up for grabs at this point.

Republicans are in pretty bad shape intellectually and morally. Not a good alternative.

How did it get this way? I think that some of the blame should be taken by the Republicans. I cannot recall a time when they ever set up any kind of program promoting the benefits of Capitalism. Or seeing that civics is taught in schools, etc. They just automatically assumed that because everyone was sharing the benefits of Capitalism that they automatically understood its benefits.

I agree. We let the left have education. It was the conservative's gift to the left, and boy, they took that ball and ran with it. As a result, we have a generation of socialists coming up while I occupy an urn.Yet, I pity you more than me.

An excellent quote. I hope you are right in your analysist. Everything surrounding the 2016 election and its subsequent events were unexpectently unusual, so I find it hard to predict a win until it is won.

The majority of young marxists will not take up arms. But, it doesn’t take many to cause big problems. To paraphrase Winston Churchill: Americans always choose the right side, after they choose all other sides, or no side at all.

The infiltration of leftist radicals in education are the villains here. It's truly upsetting to realize how few people think for themselves in any logical way. Plus, as I found with my cousins that emotion not reason plays the major role.

It's going all in on a pair of fives. Depending on how strong or weak your opponent is the odds are against but a small possibility exists.

This is the rise before the fall. Its the inflation of the balloon before the pop. The questions which remain will be:
    1) Are they dedicated enough to take up arms and die for their cause? (The other side is and will. Harney County showed that.)
    2) How many will seriously question themselves at the moment of crisis and exercise the ounce of reason necessary to understand the fallacy they have been led to believe?
    3) How many in the middle - the apathetic - will finally choose a side?
