In a free market, drug users will migrate to states with no drug penalties. I can't predict the result of that, but it would be a magnificent experiment to observe.

It’s tine to decriminalize all drugs federally. Leave it up to the discretion of the states for the time being until drugs are totally decriminalize. This will cut the cost if so called illegal drugs are dissolve the cartels at no cost to the givernment

Had a discussion with a police officer, er doc and and a hospital security person. All three agreed that "drunks" are way more difficult with which to deal - especially when belligerent. Stoners on the other hand are far more passive and they simply give them a bag of Doritos and all is good.

I am absolutely not against anyone ingesting any substance they want. I am against jailing people for doing it.
however I live in colorado and in Colorado, wash state, Oregon and probably CA. have seen the auto accident rate increase by 10 percent since grass was legalized.
I have been told by other business owners who need male employees that they cannot hire anyone because they do not apply for the jobs.
government has gotten into the drug business and they do not care what the toll is on the nation in general. now that some of the existing sellers of grass are going on the stock market investors see an opportunity. I am an old guy so it matters not to me but if you are under 40 you will see first hand how fast the nation slides down the slippery slope of destruction.

You are correct, as usual. Hemp was made illegal 48 years ago only to protect major companies from competition that hopefully will now occur by growing hemp. Either the products from the 70's have already been replaced by improvements or those looters have been replaced by others.

Hemp and cannabis, although part of the same species are totally different. Hemp does not contain THC. Hemp can be made into fuel, cloths, paper and a substance like fiberglass inwhich thinks can be build, like Cars and car parts.
Henry Ford not only developed a car to run on hemp, the car itself was made out of hemp as well.

It's hardy, requires no poisons to make it grow and does not rape the soil like corn does.

This is a win win resource.
