Sometimes the media latch on to some misstep and and appear to take down a candidate almost for the sport of it. He's talking about how they latched onto Gary Johnson's confusion when asked without context about Aleppo. They didn't say "the humanitarian crisis in the city of Aleppo". Johns said there are so many acronyms in gov't, he was thinking it was "a LEPO", an acronym slipping is mind.

Johnson didn't help himself by doing a few other weird things during the campaign.

I also remember how the media kept replaying Howard Dean's scream recorded by a tightly directional microphone that captured his voice but not the ambient noise. To any listener, it sounded normal, but the microphone capturing one voice straining to be heard over a cacophony of cheering supporters sounded unhinged.

I think he's asking if the media (and the hoard of people like me who do the clicking on lurid headlines) will similarly jump on Biden.

Of course he does not want it.

He is not that compromised mentally not to know that.

It is simple: the left is throwing in all possible cards, so that later when they lose, nobody can blame them they left any stones unturned.

I have a hard time believing Biden wants this job.
Likely he is told that he needs to get in the ring.
