Atlas Shrugged Shirt Starts a Discussion

It's cool here in Pittsburgh today so I threw on my Atlas Shrugged sweatshirt. A customer in her twenties looked at and said "I like your shirt". We talked a bit and she said she read the book but isn't sure she understood it. Not surprising with all the crazy indoctrination going on in the public schools. Sounds like she wants to learn more about Ayn Rand. Pretty cool.

I wear my "Atlas Shrugged - No longer Fiction" T-shirt whenever I go to Whole Foods. I enjoy the scowls.

To paraphrase Mike the Man from Mars (Stranger In A Strange Land, RA Heinlein): Thou art Galt.

That's excellent. I have a "Who is John Galt" bumper sticker on my car. Started a few conversations. Saw a guy behind me at a red light taking a picture of it once.

Yes, we need to inform whenever possible. My husband and I have a bumper sticker on our car which says, "We need you, John Galt." Several people have asked about it, so we try to take the time to give them a thoughtful answer and recommend the book to them. We were stopped by a lady who wanted to take a picture of the bumper sticker to send to her son. So you never know the impact of something as simple as a sweatshirt, t-shirt, or a bumper sticker can have.

It is a good thing that the far left hasn’t figured out that an Atlas Shrugged sweatshirt is even more dangerous to their ideology than a red MAGA hat.

It was encouraging that she knew who she was and was at least open to learning more. The support Bernie Sanders gets is frightening. Lot of young Socialists out there.
