"“You can’t run the country if you can’t run your campaign,”" Gee, and this liberal giveaway queen has just proven the point. Karma is such a b@tch......they will begin to topple one by one as their artifical looter promises hit reality. Now, lets take this a step further, come July when they have no clear candidate, who will surface as the redeemer of all things good, black, kind, gentle and wonderful, and who can take us back to the wonderful Obamanation years? Yep, Michael. Deep State Trump Replacement Plan, revG, or H, or I whichever one they are on. Watch and see....

Harris's campaign was barely perceptible in South Carolina. She should have bet everything on winning in Kalifornia. This would have conserved resources and concentrated fund-raising in rich, liberal Silicon Valley. Dumb.

According to Booker, it was the "double standard" that did her in.

    He should know.

America needs citizen statesmen who understand and support the constitutional limits on government, not lifetime wise-guy politicians.

I made a prediction recently of how they'll get rid of Trump. I hope I'm wrong. But, the conventional method (election) isn't looking good for them. Neither is impeachment. But...they're pretty determined. I was shocked Kamala made it this far...WTH?

These restrictions would definitely weed out lifers who just used politics to get rich, and would get rid of corporations that buy off politicians one way or another to get special favors.

I agree. The incumbent advantage (in getting re-elected) and its corrupting influence outweighs any alleged advantage of experience. That experience of being a politician is actually a disadvantage for the American people.
A lot of time and funding is wasted on re-election campaigns. Without re-election the POTUS or congressman might be tempted to work for the people instead of for re-election.
Strict limits on campaign funding are also a must:
    1) No funding from outside the district
    2) all funding only from registered voters, and limited to $1,000 per voter in combined total for all candidates (This infers no funding from non-humans.)
    3) Limited free tv time for all candidates. Every candidate gets the same amount of time and can't buy any more. Use it wisely, candidates.

We should just mandate ONE term, and let the chips fall as they may as to who would drop out of the running

I was a Federal lobbyist for may years. I dubbed the members of Congress, 'Plastic People'. Their attitude was 'Now that I have been elected, my first priority is to get myself re-elected!'

BINGO! You win. I believe that that is EXACTLY the plan. They failed to get HillaryBeast elected because they misunderstood the people, now they will bring out the liberal equivalent to Jesus, who will save us all. That will explode when the Patriots release her medical information showing she is he. One reason the deep state spent so much on the LGBTQ idea, was to build acceptance for the idea. Their defense will be "well, America before Barack was not ready for a transexual president, but we are now".

I think it’s a terrible job. It’s not about everyone trying to make the country a great place. Washington seems to be a bunch of hungry savages trying to keep anyone from actually succeeding at anything. No wonder the presidents age so rapidly in office

The left like the THOUGHT of wanting blood. Rest assured that when the first blood starts to flow, there will be nothing to see but the skid marks as they burn rubber out of there.

That's an interesting Post term2. Just yesterday I remarked how much older Obama looks. Then we have that looney from New York Bloomberg or something. He is already 77 and will be 78 before the election. He will be 81 after a 4 year term. That job isn't for someone to start at his age.

Trump uses the system very effectively, one stupid tweet gets them all riled up, on national news, they even monitor it in Congress! All that for free. He is not stupid by any means. They try to duplicate him, but when they make stupid tweets, it just boomerangs every time.

That also happens when you have firm philosophical ideals. You don't have to wave a wetted finger in the air to test the political winds - something the Democrats are far too fond of.

Civil war is not that farfetched even now. The left wants blood and the right is standing its ground

Harris is a vicious animal covered over by a thin layer of civility. She would NEVER win the election for president. Better she just withdraws.

Bloomberg will be the deep state's favorite and he will get the democratic nomination. Depending on Trumps economy and his stupid china policy, Bloomberg might actually win in November 2020.

I think trump's tv experience is why Trump was elected. Without it, we would have seen Hitlery push us into violent Civil War.

"Some of them are ideologues. "
It's seems like fundraisers contain three loosely-defined groups in equal portions:
    1. True believers - Ideologues
    2. People lobbying for sepecific issues, often things they can get, like grant programs or support for a union.
    3. General Networkers - They go to many fund raiser events for different causes to stay plugged into their referral network and/or a base of potential clients.

I am more group #3, but I am disillusioned with political fundraisers. It realized it at a Warren fundraiser two years ago. The event was good because I met a VC who funding a startup for whom I was designing electronics, and my wife got to check in with people who refer to her firm, but after Warren spoke we felt sort of dirty. My wife is similar to Warren in that they're both from poorer backgrounds, went to law school, taught law, and were solo practitioners while their children were babies. But Warren became a politician, with all traits that come with the job. In her speech she went through her promises of handouts. We wanted to leave thinking this could be someone who could represent us in gov't even if we don't agree on everything. Instead we left saying next time we'd go to an non-political event.

Certainly having his money was a big aid. Knowing how to spend it wisely was probably equally important. He did spend half of what Hillary did.

However his years of "The Apprentice" and media savvy may have had a significant effect. He got tons of media access for free. I remember one of the other Republican candidates being interviewed after a debate complaining to the questioner that Trump had been on his show several times and he hadn't been on once. The host said, "I've called your campaign several times with invitations and they never get back to me. I call Trump and he comes on."
