AS 3 was my last theater experience.
It was not a very good production but still (thanks to Rand's excellent writing and rational story) better than almost everything produced since then.

I read roughly 125 books a year. I do not watch TV, rebut movies, or go to the movies. I do not watch any sport, not even my once beloved NHL. When those shills decided they were more than an amusement and tried influencing my world views the ceased to have value to me. None of that tripe is worth my time and they certainlyvarent worth parting with my money.

I haven't been to a movie theater in years. First, is the $12.00 price for popcorn and a drink. Then, there is so many cell phone junkies. Any attempt to shut them up could escalate to a gun fight. I prefer to be at home where I can pause, burp, and fart at my leisure. My girlfriend sez I am just a grouchy old fart. uh.....yea, so what is the problem

The leaning of Hollywood (and the mass media, in general) is toward the normalization of mediocrity -- the embrace and pedestalization of the zero. In order to do this, the heroic has to be torn down and then be replaced with the zero. For much of the population, it is far easier to identify with mediocrity than it is with the titan. The general public is saturated in this banality to the point where it just becomes part of the background.

We used to have films with a story -- a plot. Now we have comic books converted into films with $200 Billion dollar budgets -- we are being deluged with this computer-graphics-driven, middle-school-intellect, beyond-all-credulity piles of dreck.

And me dino is sure you will agree that Hollywood isn't all in this once great for an independent country that's selling out to China.
It starts at the top with Hunter Biden's "10% for the big guy" and extends down like a spreading cancer through our government's unholy communion with the industrial military complex aka "The Swamp."

This is why I do NOT throw out old DVDs anymore. I scrounge garage sales and flea markets looking for them. If you have it on hard copy. KEEP it! All the “modern” stuff is woke garbage. A lot of the classic stuff is as well but, it’s not nearly as overt as it is now. Amazon was trying to jam their new version of Cinderella down my throat for a good month. Just by seeing the trailers I could recognize 4th wave feminism propaganda. My grandchildren will not watch that Woke propaganda under my roof. If there must be lies let them not live through me.

Everyone is dancing around the actual issue. This is programming. The same six companies produce over 90% of everything that is media today. These companies share board members, so the actual number of people making the decisions is smaller.

They shape culture in a way that is easiest to control. It is why everything went "woke" all at once. It is why all of your "bad guys" are straight white men. It is why your heroes are all women now. It is why your action heroes went from Rambo, and Conan, down to smaller guys like Jason Borne, and finally down to the Jack Reachers and John Wicks. Then they suddenly all turned into 120lb girls that spend the whole movie throwing around 300lb guys.

It was one thing when they were from Krypton, or robotic, but now, it is just assumed that every little girl can do that... I mean who doesn't like to watch Black Widow and Wonder Woman strut around on screen, but if reality worked that way, you wouldn't have all those second class athletes at the Olympics you know the whole class they call "women's sports".

If what they tried to portray was real, it would just be sports, and you would compete. Win or lose. We know it isn't like that, but they want to piss down our backs and tell us it is raining about it in everything else.

Of course they are destroying American Heroes. Hollywood makes movies for a Chinese audience. Also they pay more attention to the CGI aspects than the actual script.
