If you read the Old Age Assistance law as it was passed, Social Security funds cannot be garnished, even by the IRS. This is totally untrue that they can deduct from your payments to satisfy a debt. I didn't see that part of the law was amended. Some people are seriously overstepping their authority. Are we surprised?
