At least the Dumbocraps seem to have their own internal issues going...more power struggles and ideological bickering...good for them!

Over time the mainstream media may start reporting Trump's activities "straight and unadulterated," if only to avoid having their biased reporting repeatedly refuted on his tweets.

True, however, it seems to end up as news "with a twist". I prefer mine straight and unadulterated. Hard to find..

The mainstream media has also lost much of its ability to ignore or bury stories that conflict with its preferred narrative. Most anything announced by the Trump administration is news and has to be reported.

Well, the secret media support also was a factor, in the guise of "reporting truth" which was political fiction disguised as truth. One reason we see the current media battle is that they no longer have a machine to tie themselves up in and hide inside.

Up until the recent election, progressives and the New Left had influence all out of proportion to their numbers, courtesy of a President who shared their views and compliant Democratic Party leadership. Their influence is now declining rapidly with the loss of their power base. If they succeed in taking over the Democratic Party, it will further alienate working-class Democrats, many of whom defected to Trump and cost Hillary the election. The Dems will continue shrinking in numbers and clout while the Republicans, fractured or not, will be in control for the foreseeable future.

This is just a good example of the fracturing of all political parties, because they have become irrelevant to today. Yet the Progressives built their little empire for the last 40 or so years, and it looks like they will start coming out of the closets with the New Left. The Conservatives have the tea party and other groups less well known, so it is a fracturing across all lines, I think.

Obama appears to be creating his own "Tea Party of the Left". To the extent it becomes influential within the Democratic Party, it will likely encourage many of the remaining traditional Democrats to switch parties or drop out of political activity altogether.
