I've mentioned Nazi's in other places and you are right Godwin's Law comes about. I do wonder though how much of GL is simple to stop people from talking about the atrocities of the Nazi's and the similarity of some of the conduct in government contemporary times. Anyone can write me off because I evoke Nazism, there is spilled blood that must never be forgotten.

First to come to mind, are the immigration laws.

Second...the refusal to prosecute the New Black Panthers that stood, with pick axe handles, in front of several voting polls.

Third...those responsible for arming the drug cartels (Fast and Furious).

I have to leave a status up long enough for people to see it. My current status on the national debt relative to GDP (http://www.cbo.gov/publication/44521) hasn't been up long enough to get more than a few comments. It's more a debate about "when" vs. "whether" ;)

The drone-like mentality of the police is disgusting, frightening & mind-boggling. Got intelligence? Civil disobedience by the police is key to the tyrant losing their ability to absolute rule. If there is any member of the Gulch who's a police officer reading this, can you please somehow, find a way to pass this onto other officers. Stop supporting tyranny.
