I love the idea of denying the vote to anybody who receives government funds. Including civil servants.

I think there may be a market for a small spray canister of indelible purple dye much like that used in the dyepacks used by banks to identify bank robbers. You could carry it like pepper spray.

In New Orleans we call them "gutter punks." They all have dogs to prevent (they assume) the police from arresting them. We give our left overs to the dogs, not the gutter punks. When talking with the punks we find they all are from middle class to affluent families and chose to be vagrants. I wonder how many in San Francisco have the same background and agenda.

So, why do the homeless flock to SF? Well, maybe their bleeding heart mentality and SJW mentality draws them there because of the money already spent. It is SJW's like Benioff that co-opt the efforts and corrupt the system. We don't need more money thrown at it, we need results and obviously, we are not getting results. I say we ditch California and let them sink into their social morass.

There is a relentless emotional basis for collectivism, fueled by propaganda to be sure. But there is something in human nature that "wants" collectivism, and I think the only thing that is effective against it is that it never has worked, and in fact cant work

Last time the housing market collapsed, after governments put in their “everyone is entitled to their own home” programs, the main stream media and universities claimed capitalism was to blame. That blame opened the door wider to new more tribalistic anti-reason ideas.

Soylent Green production would resolve this in 12 months. I bet anyone, that it's institution would put at least half these people back in the workforce.

I have heard that Atlas Shrugged is a novel. Its more than a work of fiction- its more of a documentary actually, and the only way people will be open to reject collectivism is to have it FAIL right there where they live. Societal collapse wont guarantee acceptance of free market solutions, but I think it at least opens the door to new ideas.

"The Fountainhead" and "Atlas Shrugged" are no longer fiction but are "How To" manuals for the Liberal-Progressive collectivist movement. Ellsworth Toohey and Wesley Mouch are heroes with Howard Roark, Henry Rearden and Dagny Taggart being the villains. Not quite what Ayn Rand expected.

Breed came out hard against the measure, saying it lacked collaboration, could attract homeless people from neighboring counties to the city, and could cost middle-class jobs in retail and service. San Francisco has already dramatically increased spending on homelessness, she said, with no noticeable improvement.

San Francisco spent $380 million of its $10 billion budget last year on services related to homelessness.

It depends on how you define Failure. Lots of failures incite revolution. Maybe that’s how the insane succeed.

Try a free market, encouraging production, and meritocracy instead of socialism encouraging the unproductive to migrate to your city.
