IMHO, as long as Islam's dark hand of slavery and death has a grip on that region it won't matter whose face is at the helm. A more secular regime that can put Islam into a cage is the only one that can prosper and get along with its neighbors. Historically it appears Islam always has to be killing/enslaving something, so an alternative is to find a way to break the region into Islamic tribes/factions that kill each other and therefore leave the rest of us alone. Yeah, that sounds awfully cold, but after 1400 years of this crap it may be the only thing to do.

Having the experience of a retired corrections officer (state prison guard) can help keep a guy out of trouble.
Now I did see some coworkers get fired and/or arrested for being stupid. Stupid is smuggling in drugs to inmates or failing a random drug test.
Recall a stupid lieutenant praising a stupid officer who repeatedly got nose-to-nose with naughty inmates in order to intimidate them.
One fine day that's how that officer got sucker punched while he and I were patting down inmates for metal spoons coming out of the chow hall.
That got me all caught up in a mini-riot involving several inmates. Never forget how one brave officer helped to rescue me and mr. stupid by heroically jumping up in the air and dragging down two inmates both at the same time.
One year later my rescuer and a female officer got fired for having sex in a high cubicle where only one of them was supposed to be watching inmates in two dorms on opposite sides.
How did these two can't wait for shift change stupid officers get caught? A fight broke out in one of the dorms and they didn't know a thing about it.
Oh, the stupid filled with praise lieutenant for another's stupidity was gone in a month, by the way.

Five or so more years ago I'm minding my own business pushing a cart near the rear of a Publix grocery store.
Out of nowhere a black woman walks up and stops almost in front of me. With full eye-to-eye contact, she presents herself in a skimpy gown with all but naked deep cleavage between two starkly plump melons (if you catch my drift) which effectively ensnared where my eyes were looking.
Once I wrenched my gaze from all that, I looked her back in the face and found here still staring into mine. She never said a word but it was obvious what she was trying to start. Maybe I was meant to do all the talking but kept my yap shut.
Being divorced this situation may have been tempting if 4 things had not occurred to me.
1. $Ka-ching!$ How much did she want?
2. Will she get more than asked for after I'm mugged by friends in waiting?
3. Will she give me a nonviolent something to always remember her by?
4. Is she a lady cop with coworkers waiting with handcuffs?
I pushed my cart on my unaccosted merry way.
