Bugging out is not an option for me, so I am bugging in. I need to do more prep, but in many ways it's as good as it's going to get. One thing I do want is a small freeze dryer for long term, not too bulky food storage. If the power grid goes down, it's still usable with my small backup solar generator, plenty of garden space behind a fence, seed vault (non-gmo, heirloom varieties, includes medicinal plants). Working on a non-powered water maker ( okay, the small transfer pump and ozone generator take a very small amount to run). Everything is portable, ready to shift locations if necessary (still bugging in, with several safer locations as backup if things really go bad fast). At 77, and in rotten health, I can still survive for a bit after those balloons go up or that power grid comes down. If you can stock up on prescription meds, get as far ahead as you can. My max is three months right now, working on it. Wish I had a horse...

Iran's tantrum in the Straits of Hormuz (forget it's barely an issue at this point because oil flow through it is back to pre-war levels) is a side show of the no-nukes big show.
