Given his age I doubt it was an equipment failure. Most likely he fell off the machine probably from an neurological imbalance. I have been around elderly people in my own family that had seen such problems. Also, when you hear him speak shows other neurological impairments occurring. Even with current medicine that can keep our bodies going but the brain is a lot more complicated. Some one could say their fine and can fool people around them, eventually further accidents will occur. That why we must have term limits for Senators and Congressmen/women. Until technology can get to the point where microchips could be implanted in the brain in place of the area's that are failing Public Office Holders should not go beyond a certain age limit also. The knucklehead should have stuck to walking up and down the capital steps if he even does that!

It is possible that he is a stumbling drunk. That may also explain some of the deficit between his ears. :)

I actually think he did fall down the stairs or something, and his PR team concocted the story of battling equipment in the exercise room for the very reason you stated --they didn’t want him to appear feeble.

I thought that too. My next question was with whom was he "conversing"?

Start looking for a lawsuit. He is a greedy S.O.B. you know.

Where can I get that piece of exercise equipment? There are several others in Washington that I'd like to send a similar one to. If only they'll use it!

This is not the first time either.
A few months ago Reid dislocated his shoulder.
And I remember him with a black eye one other time (might have been the shoulder incident).

Black eyes, busted eye socket, broken ribs, dislocated shoulder.
It seriously sounds to me like he's on the bad side of some shady characters.

Why would one need to be sensitive and/or politically correct? I never let a day go by without saying something politically incorrect.

That was my thought as well... my thought was, like an oversealed shingle, he got the tar kicked out of him...

Then they needed a "plausable reason" he was bruised up as he was, and "he fell down the stairs" made him look too feeble; "Exercise equipment" makes him sound strong and robust.

I would normally want to see the alleged broken exercise machine, but by now it's likely been "worked over"...
