Any line I knew from the book..

Great choices. The last two were played so perfectly by Polaha.."perfectly acted subtle humor"...... Perfectly said!

I have so many favorites from the movie but here’s 3 category favorites.
Family business: “God no!”
Galt Galt-ness: “I didn’t ask to see you.”
Galt Humor: When John is picking up Dagny from her plane crash, she asks him, “Where is your plane?” He just barely chuckles and answers, “My plane is on the runway.” Perfectly acted subtle humor implying, “Where else would it be? I’m not the one who crashed!”

I agree. If the whole speech was included the movie would be 6 hours long. I think they did a great job with the speech

Galt's speech was short, but I don't know how one could get across so much in so little time. Maybe use Branden's short description of Objectivism.

I have to agree about the disappointment and I could get over the casting of Frisco. I haven't gone back to the book since seeing the movie, but wasn't Galt's speech cut extremely short?

It is a comment that Producers hear only too rarely. Since I saw Part 3, I have been consciously using it when the situation merits.

As much as I understand there were many obstacles to making AS3, I just can't see why they cast someone so old for Francisco. He had to be at least 30 years too old for the part. It really was ridiculous

True. But a “close” relationship was alluded to by Dagny.

All the lines in all the movies so that Rand's concepts were given maximum dramatic impact so people would explore further.

Galt, when they're at the power building, says that she won't say the words until she means them completely - in essence, he won't let her say them.

One thing that's been hard for people who know the book is the casting of the older man for Frisco. Remember, in the movie it was only said that they were "very close" - that leaves the door open to a student/mentor relationship, for example. The people seeing the movie who haven't read the book don't know about their relationship.

"The End" was the best. I was gravely disappointed in Part 3. The casting for the government folks was good, but the guy who played Francisco was so old he could have played Francisco’s father. Dagny was too young. The two who grew up together somehow got split by generations or Francisco aged too fast and Dagny regressed to being a teenager. The Francisco in the movie should have been charged with child abuse. That was just part of the bad casting. The overall acting was not great and did not live up to Part 1. The story line did not do much either. I loved Part 1. Part 2 was lower quality. I do not recommend Part 3 to anyone. I see this as a great opportunity lost.

Polaha had a few good quotes to only choose one.

The convo with him and Dagny at the power generator building and him telling her to say the words "I swear - by my life and my love of it
- that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine” is one of my faves.

The convo at the end where Dagny asked if it is the end, and he says "It is just the beginning" is another.

"To everyone within the
range of my voice, you now have a
choice to make. If you decide to support the notion
of sacrifice enforced by the State,
your game is up. Your world is in a
downward spiral, and you will ride
it down to destruction."

I work in healthcare, too, and what the government doesn't control the insurance companies, who are hand in hand with the government, control. I have watched the middle class lose the ability to control their own health. It's a travesty

Too many to tell this one!
I love "you're penniless" - more for the reaction tan the line itself.
I love the whole conversation between Akston and Dagny.
I love the line which is, I think, different in the book :"I can't desert a battle which I think is mine to fight."
