I for one don't think it's quite as quiet as Levin assumes. Their is a major epidemic of deafness spread throughout the Nation, but 2013 has certainly been a loud wake-up call to many.

    Hello squareone,
I think there is much in what you say. Except for a few they are just a pack of wolves, feeding off the carcasses of the producers...

The best part about ExOs is they can be negated by the next executive. Czars can be fired by the next executive. Runaway agencies like EPA can be reined in with a phone call. Most of what this wide eyed child has done can be fixed in a long weekend. Health care? It's been passed by both sides of Congress, signed into law by the executive branch, and judged by the Supreme Court to be Constitutional. That will take more to unwind. That will take the inverse of the government we had in 2008-2010. Even if the progressives control only one branch of government ObamaCare will remain part of our laws.

The real problem is many do see the issues at hand but feel totally powerless to do anything. The elections appear to be rigged and there is no dynamic/charismatic leader to get behind and support. And they are struggling to support their family.

Congress will not act except in a cosmetic way. They have it too good to want to let it go.

That heavy knock on the door. Investment professional investors classify this as forced awareness.

This will not be as outrageous or as disturbing to many people as we might think, or as it should.

Remember, we have 2 generations now raised on the notion that the rules are subject to will.
    Thank you tv and movies.

Most of the entitlement class will view this favorably, as a needful circumvention of an "obstructionist" Congress. And they won't think beyond that.

Levin is right. It is nothing less than tyranny. Just how brazen must it become before congress acts. I hear only a handful of congressman speaking up. Will others hear them?

Yes, although literally disappearing might be a bit difficult in our modern age. I can testify that if you quit, move from your state, and assume a menial factory job no one comes after you. You family and friends think you have lost your mind, but eventually they concede the point or give up. The point is the government does not come looking for you, at least not right now.

Plus..they wouldn't care...or even get the implications. We're dealing with rocks for brains.

I have said before that we need to start a rumor that Obama wants to control Facebook and Twitter. That should get peoples attention.

I guess the people of this country are too busy to notice. What will be the wake up call that finally gets them to take note of what is happening?
