Cruz appears to have a personality problem with the lords and masters...we know Trump doe, but that's different, he has an issue with everyone, yet they still like him...

I wasn't relying on polls in estimating who would win. I am thinking about who would be more persuasive in advertising and debates. Hillary is a masterful politician and tough to beat. Look at how she has beaten her email scandal so far. Cruz just isn't a match for her. Trump might not be either , but I think he just might pull it off

And Cruz said NO...your not going to get that boy to compromise on principle.
The government needs to be held to the rule of law, as found in our constitution...we don't get out of this, or save the Republic...any other way.

Term, I think you are making the same mistake a lot of politicos are doing. You focus on these certain specifics. My interpretations is in trying to find someone, anyone, who can identify right from wrong, good from bad. I would hope we could find one who can use the Hippocratic Oath to govern. Some of your points are valid, and I agree, others I do not, but that is part of the problem, we need to level out and find some consensus and not get bogged down in the individual items, that is what they have separated everyone with. Most people have 1 or 2 items they deem "nonnegotiable". When you get 30 people in a room, and they all have 2 items that are different, they have 60 items no one can agree on. The the Dumbocraps and Republicrats tell us what we will get and like it.

Not going to debate that point, look at the sppread between the various polls (current):
    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epol...

Trump can take a good thing and make it crap in 2 nanoseconds, he does need a someone who has a large foot to stick in his mouth when he starts pontificating about Meggy Kelly and other odd dream states. I would prefer to see "Are you better off today than 8 years ago?" used. to gauge sentiment.

Most people find Trump disturbing no doubt. But Cruz's abuse of special groups and desperate attempts to make people think he is the only messiah in town, stink.

    EWV,

A precinct captain supporting the senator, who identified herself as Nancy Bliesman, produced two voicemails she received from the campaign telling her to tell Carson supporters he was leaving the race.
    http://www.rawstory.com/2016/02/revea...

    http://www.ncbuy.com/news/20160202/0-...

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/artic...

A pair of emails sent to Iowa Cruz backers by the campaign's digital marketing specialist Spence Rogers just before and after caucus time were titled 'Carson Likely to Drop Out' and 'CNN Reporting Ben Carson Will Stop Campaigning After Iowa.'

It is just what appears to still be truth: Cruz's people did do it. They used CNN (used CNN? Really? What a reliable source) to justify their action. They did not verify it, they did what HillaryBeast loves to do: use something for their purpose and then blame someone else. That is enough for me. Again, let me stress I do not find Trump even remotely satisfactory. I am sure a whole bunch of people who vote for him do not. It is like finding the least stinky monkey turd in a zoo. The system is killing itself in a fit of self absorb greed to grab their bit of power, and refuses to do what they were established to do, the sheeple quotient ensures no one can get a majority, and the lies and dirty tricks sabotage most efforts at any restraint. So, in light of the fact we have no Warp Drive Starship to get off this crappy rock, what better options are there? I would like to scrap the whole mess and have a new Constitutional convention, disband the House Senate and Executive (and Scotus) and start all over with a prohibition on serving more than 4 years in any position and no retirement or benefits for those that do. Make it hurt to serve. Fixed amounts for election, based on voluntary funding by the people to a fund, and if there is only one dollar in the fund, and 4 candidates, they each get a quarter and hope they have a lot of shoes to wear. I am tired of the lies, deceit, looting, grabbing, stealing, misappropriation and theft.

"Cruz can't beat Hillary" is another myth spread by the Trump idolatry. The polls generally show the opposite: that Cruz beats Hillary and Trump loses.

Trump's false accusation was "all over the news" and you are repeating the myth. The fact is that Cruz's campaign forwarded a CNN news article they believed was correct. Neither CNN or Cruz said that Carson had "bowed out". The article implied that he was going to.

I made no comment about that. It was just term2 changing the topic to take pot-shots at Cruz who is the closest competition in the statist looting GOP for his darling monarchist HRM Donnie from the Dark side.
Its the god-fearing Texan against the insultingest tv looter.
Not rational to support either of the disgusting jerks

All I could expect in this election is someone who:
    1) Doesnt increase governmental powers in terms of terrorists
    2) Stops prosecuting people for simple drug possessions (most importantly for weed)
    3) Gets rid of asset seizures
    4) Gets out of Iraq and Afghanistan
    5) Leaves minimum wages alone
    6) Stops climate change carbon taxes

Not a lot ? yeah right.

If I was king I think I would be assassinated in a day for doing all these things I suppose.

I think we are looking more at the whole case of how all of them jockey for position using this and that thing. Tweeting and all that stuff. Ben didn't get a fair hearing in Iowa, and that was due to some shenanigans. I would say we, as a collective society, are pretty much done with storytime and all the political crap. It is getting bad out there, and we cannot afford another clown presidency with his own agenda, and screw the people. The crap they have pulled in the last 8 years to get their way, the Pelosi lies for ObamaCare, the Lerner lies, the mystery inability to keep a hardrive intact (a repeat offense), the loss of records, the use of race baiting, the intentional ignorance of law breaking, and selective prosecution, all add up to a serious management change needed. We have crap for choices, so what is the best of the worst?

I wouldn't say that is a hijack freedom, more of a side road. The fact Cruz's campaign did do something of that sort is undeniable. Did he know? Can't say for sure, but he never took clear ownership, and was pretty awful in how he handed it, almost Clinton like. IMHO, of course.

Freedom, I can't point to any specific falsehoods, because, just like HillaryBeast, they will give you something slanted, possible but twisted. He does say "We will abolish ObamaCare!", ok, then, where has he been for the last umpteen years? Oh yea, in the Senate! And he did what? Brought together what people to try to kill it? Oh, he doesn't have enough horsepower? He needs to be Prez? Nope, sorry sir, he has a crappy set of references. Had he actually done something, showed he was trying, I would be all for him, but he is just another button pushing, special interest clown. As far a truth goes, well, we are talking about a crowd of professional politicians, and one crazy rich guy. Time to give up on the former and try the latter.

Good point, exactly right. And is pretty obvious to anyone who is actually in touch with the people. Which is not either party at this point. +10.

Sorry bsudell, I see it 180 out from what you do. Cruz was in the Senate for how long, and did what? He seeks power because that is what they do, not for any representation of the people. He is not alone, I have a hard time thinking of any real representative of people. They all have a special interest agenda, that is the real root cause. Money and power. Trump has money, and some power, he is not a good choice, but he is the best of a bunch of bads. Cruz never stood on what he has done for us, and what he could do, every promise was for some special intrest segment. I don't mind generalities, asking someone to pull out the detailed plan of how to fix what so many took so long to screw up, is not reasonable. I just want someone who actually knows it is screwed. Trump will try to do some crazy stuff and be stopped, but he seems more focused on the violations of the people than the special interests. Cruz just does the Hillary "I will give you.." mantra.

I think Term is right, polls used to be trustworthy, but so were individual politicians (some more than others). Now you just do not know...

The GOP is just another name for a branch of the DP. No difference, same clowns. Power hungry and corrupt.

I don't see it that way, all he has said is that he will fix the main problems most people already know about. He hasn't even been very specific, and the Obamanation has been a king already. He wields EO's like a sword.

You must be afraid of what Trump would do. Consider however, what Obama HAS done and would do if he could. Hillary has pledged to continue the reign of Obama, and she is bought and paid for by the wall street crowd who gave her millions (they must want something back in return).
In a sense, all we could really hope for is washington gridlock where nothing could be agreed on (because agreeing seems to means massive governmental power increase and taxation)

Only problem with polls are that they showed Trump losing pretty consistently in the primaries, while in fact when it came down to it, he won many of them.
Polls have too many hidden agendas behind them to be trusted.
The establishment also doesnt want Trump or Cruz actually.

They wanted Rubio, but that was not to be.

Maybe they should leave it up to the voters.

The major issue with fighting Hillary is that she is promising everything to everyone, and paying for it from the magical money tree in the backyards of the rich. Its hard to tell the populace that you arent going to do that and have them vote for you. Trump has tapped into a dissatisfaction and anger out there that just might let him win. Cruz unfortunately doesnt offer much to the looters, and doesnt offer too much to the people who are disillusioned and angry.

Hillary has said she will continue the path of Obama. I heard her say that myself. I am not sure she really would do anything she says, as its her backers that tell her what to do once elected. She has to return the favors she promised when they gave her the money.

There are some executive orders that would get rid of obama exec orders that I would like to see taken actually.

If Trump were to win within 2 years you would be asking for Obama back. If he wins we all loose big time.

he is a tyrant, he wants to be king. I seek no king. Anyone for Trump wants a Tyrant King becuase Trump himself has made it clear that is what he will be.

Trump is the Obama road, Hillary will be a return to the Clinton road.

Obama - Cant get my way, Executive Order.

Trump has clearly stated he will do the same thing.
