This is what happens when you cross this administration.
A government powerful enough to do the things we hear about today, is too powerful. Get government back to its core functions, and it would have fewer opportunities for this kind of mischief.
we are 500 steps behind the 8 ball and her courage makes many of the repugnicunts in the house and senate look like the ballless wonders they are.
I don't know there was any relation, but I've wondered for a very long, long time.
Then two years latter our 2 years of nightmares started with the IRS, sucking money away from my donations to political causes. The really odd thing was that ALL of it ended when we closed our business. Just like the 55 years before the troubles started, after I closed my business and went on strike, the IRS has disappeared from my life.
At my age, I'm not certain I'd take the government on like this lady is (although I should be willing to) I just don't have the strength for that much of a battle today. Shrugging and dropping off the grid is about as far as I'm willing to go today. But you never know, there just might be one more bite left in this old dog.
Besides, what else do you have to do over the summer - 'cept nap?
I'm feeling a little dumbfounded as to why you didn't continue with your invention. You probably have a dozen reasons why, just as I have a dozen reasons as to why I closed my Camera shop/photo studio.. In my case, I went into a new and more satisfying venture. Then, I finally got too old and infirm to keep going. as a result, I go on the internet and bitch up a storm, or amuse and elucidate myself and others.
2) When Obama came into power and biofuels lost favor, clients with whom I was willing to trade my hard work for their absolving themselves of environmentalist guilt left for solar along with Obama.
3) We had put two years of work into getting to where we needed to be technically, financially, and from a mass production standpoint. When Obama got elected, we just couldn't financially continue, so we sold our business and shrugged. All of us had recently read AS.
4) The profitability of the company was highly sensitive to natural gas prices. When natural gas drops below $5, my company couldn't make money. It dropped down to just above $3. Now it's at around $4.50, but hasn't been above $5 since BHO took office. North Dakota helped put us out of business. More power to them!
I haven't heard of something like that in real life.
That's really out of my league. I am not John Galt.
You really need to get clued in on my sense of humor. The key is the winky emoticon.
I for one simply put do not trust the government in its entirety! I just do not think these activities are going to stop regardless of any laws that the congress enacts. those who perpetrate the actions will always have a reason for them. of the people by the people and for the people is no longer!
I'm going to go out on a long limb for a moment and say that I'm never surprised at the lengths Dems will go to in order to gain and keep power. Consider exactly where they stand on moral issues, on religious standards, and yes, even "values".
I'll say first that I'm not pointing any fingers and certainly the left is not comprised of only sinners and the right filled with the righteous and upright - there are heathen on both sides. However, it is the left that has made a livelihood of opposing what most people consider morality and living a clean life. Every liberal I've met tells me that lieing in campaign ads is ok because "everybody" does it. Most will tell me that situational ethics are just the way life is expected to be today. In college, surveys were done a few years ago that indicated that actions that might have been seen as cheating by their parents, were just fine for the kids - who almost all consider themselves to be liberals.
To people who believe that it's ok to do anything in order to win a political race, "slowing down a tax exemption process in order to harm political opponents supporters is not a big deal. To people who feel that murdering a unborn child is ok so the mother is not inconvenienced in her life, why not stop those Christians from putting a crèche on the courthouse lawn at Christmas, or for keeping the pastor of a church from being free to tell his congregation which candidates oppose abortion on demand.
Am I surprised that a political party would see the IRS as a tool or weapon of politics? Not at all.
We predicate much of our despair on the notion that "these people keep getting elected because enough people want them to rob us, and they run on a platform of highway robbery, so what can you do?"
Well, suppose they're moving over the edge by relying on States not to clean up their voter rolls (to remove the dead and the move-outs), and sending proxies to vote in the names of these defunct voters?
Inside it...that's the mystery.
