When you need legal representation to defend your liberty (and that of others) who you gonna call? There aren't any real Ghostbusters so most of us call ACLU. ACLU has defended me and many others as a way of representing all of us, the rights of all individuals. That is why the organization was founded and that is what it does. There is no logic behind the knee jerk negative response to ACLU I see from so many calling themselves libertarian or something similar. I support ACLU for the same reason as others who support ACLU, because it does good work.

The ACLU supports many things people here support. I've been a card-carrying member since the 90s.
