A lot of examples that have nothing to do with the proposed bill. Liquor stores , Car Dealers and Crony cancer frauds not on topic. Majority of men in the govt degrade and demean women while affording themselves all the privileges of their own gender. Opinion or fact .
I apologize for laughing at absurdity, but I read somewhere that laughing is better for one's health than crying over things indeed cryable if I may make up a new word. Oh, suffering succotash! Just URL looked it up. "Cryable" is in the dictionary. A walking talking error, that's me. Dinos do tend to make a general mess of things. Oh, me! Oh, my! Maybe I should go have a good cry.
You missed the point. As much as I like living in Texas, it was not the legislature that drew me here. politically, Texas is a fascist state. Understand that: fascism is just liberalism with an iron fist. We do have a mix of political views in the government. I benefit from living in Austin, a blue city in a red state, where gun rights and gay rights co-exist.
That said ...
Gov. Perry and the legislature floated a $3 billion bond for cancer research that became a scandal when the money flowed first to the wife of the man who chaired the committee in charge of the money. ... And that does not begin to address fundamental problems with government-funded "cancer research." ...
Just changed recently, the legislature made it illegal to buy a car directly from the manufacturer. Why? Because the automobile dealers association did not like the way Tesla sells cars. They wanted people to be forced by law to buy from dealers.
It is still illegal to buy beer and wine before noon on Sunday, or to buy "hard liquor" at all on Sunday.
Those car dealers? It is still illegal in Texas for a car dealer to be open both Sunday and Saturday: they must be closed one Sabbath day a week.
Then, there are the issues at hand, the laws that prevent women from getting healthcare.
Rep. Farrar introduced her bill and speaks to it in order to bring into sharp relief the ways that the majority men in the government degrade and demean women while affording themselves all the privileges of their own gender.
Obviously, you do not understand Rep. Farrar's intent here. Equally ridiculous and demeaning laws already restrict women. Her bill was intended to highlight the oppression that women live under here in Texas. Like taxes or whatever else, they make the best of a bad situation, but the bad situation is still a reality.

then. Two wrongs don't solve the problem.
