Guns have been used to protect homes for centuries, not to mention banks.
Why not schools where repeated massacres have taken place? Like that one this week in Florida.
Teachers would be trained to shoot, of course.
Hopefully, they would have an annual refresher course.
The State of Alabama required me dino to NRA qualify on an annual basis for 21 years as a corrections officer.
School kids will be better protected by teachers who remain familiar with whatever gun they use.
Me dino has the experience to vouch for that.
Come to think of it, enough time has passed that retired concealed carrying me needs to visit my favorite range sometime soon.

Having read about the lefty trending of elections in Virginia, me dino did not consider the state's proximity to the mentally toxic refuse of DC.
Love this board. Always learning stuff.
Way back when, the Johnny Rebs of that state considered "grand old Virginia" to be exclusive as a sovereign country.
They viewed Virginia joining the Confederacy kinda like the USA considered joining the Allies during World Wars One and Two.

CIA HQ is in Virginia. VA has been overwhelmed by spillover of looters and statists from DC. Jefferson wouldn't have his memorial in VA today. Very sad.

Obviously the feds have little concern for actually protecting the innocent in schools, since they use it as an excuse to bitch about guns every time.
Kudos to Alabama if they get this done.
I'd guess the rest of the southern states will quickly do the same if Alabama does it.
