I beg to differ with you. You cannot give a 'negative' blood type person a transfusion from a 'positive' blood type. The antigens will attack the negative's blood, just as a 'positive' baby passes them to the mother if she is 'negative' type.

From my own standpoint at the extreme left (of Objectivism) I do not get over-excited at the idea of a safety net from taxes.
I prefer tho' not to pull up but to remove the barriers so they can rise themselves. There will always be those who cannot, I am optimistic enough to think the number is small and can be dealt with by private charity.
There is a permanent class of the poor, maybe some for the genetics but most as they are trained to be that way by government welfare.

The government can't afford to bring the people up from the bottom. If the individual is working toward his/her own happiness why should him/her be working to bring up the person from the bottom. When you have a political party trying to subvert the current economic system when then citizen has to pay for the poor and the illegal alien's healthcare. This country will start looking like either Ayn Rands "Anthem or the events that transpire in "Atlas Shrugged". I'm writing in this fashion because there is one member who isn't happy about the content and comments on this forum.

The problem with eliminating all the poor is that then who is going to do the work you conscript them for? There is a certain amount of peasant labor needed even in a feudal society. I think you're taking an extreme to the extreme.

When the 'poor' have all starved to death, there will be no jobs, so the 'middle class' is the new poor to be exterminated.

Inasmuch as the entire policy is to reduce the Middle Class to the equivalency of the poor, I agree.

The first victims are "everyone who has saved dollars" as deficit spending is used to fund it

The second victims are the politically powerless people whose taxes and fees CAN be raised without political blowback. Things like excise taxes on all sorts of goods and services, increased tariffs (really a way to impose double sales taxes on imported products, to an extent-property taxes, sales taxes on interstate sales not currently taxed.

The third victims would be the consumers who will have to pay more sales taxes when they buy what they need to live.

TAXPAYERS pay the financial aspects. That is true.

But the poor pay with their LIVES.
And when THAT level of poor is gone, the rung is changed to the next higher level.

Who really pays? Taxpayers. That's the long and the short of it. And who are the majority of taxpayers? It actually isn't those at the bottom, but the Middle Class. The Left HATES the Middle Class. They want to re-instigate the feudal period of elites/lords and peasants because it is all about control. Taxes predominantly harm the Middle Class - whether in the form of property taxes, sales taxes, or income taxes. That's why the original US government had ZERO of those - they taxed foreigners instead. I'm all for the repeal of the Sixteenth Amendment but barring that, I want a flat tax with no exceptions.

First of all, social mobility is alive and well. The poor are not a permanent class, nor are the middle class or rich. My family was poor when I was a young child, but my father was determined we would not stay that way, and we moved up to the point where I went to college, worked hard all my life and now am an upper middle class retiree.

That being said, the poor pay little for our social safety nets, with food stamps, set aside housing, and many other existing programs. I'm fine with that, making sure the opportunity for food, clothing, housing, and medical care exists to prevent starvation. However, the taxes needed for all the new free stuff is going to make life harder for the middle class. Taxing corporations more aggressively only means they pass along the added cost to the consumer. The very rich can take the hit on taxes, but they invest less, which results in fewer jobs for both the middle class and the poor.

Why should hard working blue collar person have to provide free college to enable a younger person to jump ahead? Why should any of us provide medical care and retirement to invaders who didn't pay into the system?

A "free" medical care system shows its worth by creating a two layer system of care. Those wealthy enough can have the best of care, delivered promptly, because they pay out of pocket. The rest have to deal with longer wait times for elective care, and lower quality treatment.

Our blood is about to become far less valuable, or so I read. There's a new tech to strip blood of the characteristics that give it a "type" and the "negative/positive" attribute, so that literally anyone can use any other person's blood safely.

Oh well it was fun being "alien" AND having my blood sought-after, while it lasted!

I do believe taking care of the Veterans and their Spouses.
I also believe that any time their is a job opening at any level of government, the Veterans get a 500 point boost to ensure PEOPLE THAT SERVED are REWARDED for that Service.

And we send millions to Guatamala, Honduras, and even Mexico every year! We even sent money to Venezuela to pay for hospital care for their citizens. It didn't find its way there, of course!

Well, you could cover the widow's thing under 'Defense of our Country' or National Defense. And Natural Disasters, in our country, would be covered by 'Wellfare of the People. But I don't believe I saw anything about making illegal immigrants equal to citizens in every way!

You will probably find that NATIONAL DEFENSE and some NATURAL disasters would be considered 'acceptable' reasons for borrowing in the Nations Name.

Seriously, I heard today that nothing in the Constitution allows for debt. Congress is not supposed to spend money like they do giving trillions to 3rd world countries. They can levy on imports, and taxes on us but there is nothing that says they can fund these other countries! I am going to study that for myself.

Well, I am a little slow this week. Had an ultra-sound, a mammogram, CT Scan, and MRI! And I don't have anything wrong! Just curious docs. I also gave up five vials of my very exotic blood. I saw on Ancient Aliens if you have red hair, green eyes and RH Negative blood you are probably an Alien! I do all three!
