Duh!
Looks like the totalitarian left media are finally admitting that China has rights violations. Of course this has been so for decades.
Interesting that they chose to bring it up now. Is it an attempt to assign the blame to present foreign policy.
It certainly shouldn't be to recommend befriending our biggest enemy economically and politically (well some of us) ... militarily soon.

We use vendor qualification procedures and incoming inspection as we would apply to all vendors to catch quality issues that may arise as early as possible
Overall, supply from China has been excellent and the intense competition in China has worked to our benefit. Unfortunately, trumps tariffs are very damaging to us. We actually ship more finished goods internationally to Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Canada and Mexico
than we buy components from China by a large margin. If we didn’t buy from China we wouldn’t be able to secure international orders with attractive prices. This is a Milton Friedman thing in actual practice
We sell noting at all TO CHINA. We could not compete at all in their domestic market
If you are referring to Chinese made stuff being all union, then yes, except it wasn’t his. It was a friends he was helping.
The jack stand in question had a massive casting flaw. It failed because it was crap. He wasn’t really hurt. He is quite solid.
"As good as USA products" doesn't mean what it used to. Much of the blame is consumers who in mass don't think and go for the cheapest price tag, driving quality to a lowest common denominator. The quality then sinks below even what consumers expect, and it becomes difficult or impossible for more discerning buyers to find quality even when willing to pay more. That then opens a pseudo market with higher prices for fancier-looking products only pretending to be higher quality.
What do your approved suppliers sell to you?
My brother had a Chinese jack stand break and drop a transmission in his lap.
My favorite irony in the world is a “Union First” bumper sticker in a Walmart parking lot. Buying ones way out of the future!
Speaking of which: I recommend redpetition.com to anyone who is thinking of cutting the cord.
The worst case response by China would be to cut off trade with us, which they need more than we do.
